Good place to get the scoop on new companies, events, and news about the SL world.

Men's Second Style

Finding good men's clothing is an adventure all it's own in SL. I've asked around and been given LM's and Notecards with links only to find the shops moved or gone. There isn't as much in SL for men as there is for women, so having a source of men's clothing and accessories is a valuable thing.

Cool Maps of SL

Here's a site that hosts some historical maps of SL. It's amazing to see how small the grid was waaaay back when (2002!)

You can find various assorted maps and map tools at this site. It also has a cool feature: snapshots of the mainland areas (by name, not feature, though) from any day in SL's history.

Computational Neighbors (Technical)

This is a technical resource for those of you that want to... know more!

They say one server computer handles four sims (regions). So, if another sim on your server is lagging like molasses in winter, it'll lag yours down, too. But sims next to each other on the map don't necessarily share servers. So who's sharing your CPU cycles?
