Yadni's Junkyard, Leda (210,28,54)

Yadni's Junkyard is the classic starting place to load up on the gadgets, weapons, clothes, houses, HUD's, hair, skins, tools, animations, textures, and much more. Plan on spending a few hours there; just combing the shelves takes time: there are so many boxes of so much stuff!

And, everything is cheap (like L$1) or free. It's designed for newbies. You can go crazy and get thousands of items for your use. Just remember: you'll have to organize and manage all those thousands of items in your inventory. So choose wisely - you can always go back later.

Why is this stuff so cheap or free? Well, most of it is either old inventory, donated inventory, or stuff built as folks were learning to build. So the items may or may not work fully, and they won't be detailed or pretty (I remember a few first vehicles I got there - pretty chunky / crazy designs).

But, this is how you learn in SL what is well-built and what isn't. You can also learn *how* to build or use many items - vehicles and weapons and HUDs especially - from the ones you get in the junkyard. Then you know what you want to find or build yourself so much more clearly. :)
