Movie Project: Camera Configuration

To facilitate editing and smooth blending of footage, we want to be sure all the camera & filmers are set to the same configuration.

Presently, the "Movie-to-disk" function in the SL viewer is broken for many folks and unreliable for everyone else. Linden Labs knows about this and has it on very low priority to fix. :(
(More on that here.).

I'm presently experimenting and trying all manner of configurations in attempts to get SnapZ-ProX (which is like FRAPS but for Mac) to record SL screens at more than 3 frames per second. Once I get the configuration, I'll post it. This will determine the size, rate, compression and file formats for our raw footage.

Camera Operator & Filming Tips

Actors - you can turn off the typing noise & animation when you are shooting a scene - and not even have to worry about pre-fixing with slashes, etc. Great for anim controls, devices, etc.
In your Client menu (which you can get by typing CTRL-ALT-D on PC or OPT-CTRL-D on Mac), choose "Debug Settings". Type in "PlayTypingAnim", and set it to FALSE. Save and you're done. If you want more details and a visual on this, check out Torley's Tip of the Week video on it.
